"I Have Wedded This Blade" is Karen's second compilation of works written and performed by "Wyndreth Berginsdottir"--a Viking-Age persona created for participation in a medieval recreationist group. On it, you will hear songs (both original and traditional) of mad brutal vengeance and mad quiet grief, and the emotional spectrum between them; as well as skaldic verse memorials to those among us, those who have passed before us, and events, all worthy of wordfame; and maybe even a surprise or two.
All is performed a capella and most in minimal arrangements that accentuate tune and lyric and call to mind the fire and smoke of Norse great-halls.
"I Have Wedded This Blade" has been duplicated (burned), and each disk is burned directly from the original sound files. It is paper-labeled and packaged in a slim-line case.
