Twa Corbies
June Zenner-Tyrrell                                     Karen L. U. Kahan
Twa Corbies began in 1993, when June and Karen met mid-phrase at a
medieval music choral practice and said, "Hey.  This is fun.
We could DO this!"

Since then, Twa Corbies has been honored to perform at a wide variety of
venues and occasions, including private parties, fundraisers and benefits,
coffeehouses, bars, and house concerts.

Featuring tight vocals running the spectrum from soft and wistful to sheer,
in-your-face power, Twa Corbies performs medieval, Celtic and English folk
music a capella or with very minimal accompaniment, with a few instrumentals
scattered within.

Twa Corbies invites their audience to spend an evening with them as they evoke
the atmosphere of medieval great-halls and common rooms. Enjoy rousing battle
hymns, poignant ballads, table-thumping sing-alongs, and much, much more.

Their first release, "A Murder of Crows,"  an independently recorded and
produced CD, has been well received in and out of the United States.  More
information about this recording can be found
here.
JUNE ZENNER-TYRRELL was born in Stanley, Wisconsin a mere 11 months after her
brother, thereby disrupting her family forever.  She has been disrupting various
institutions and preconceived notions ever since.  June tries to avoid people, places or
things that take themselves too seriously, and is on a one-woman crusade to show what a
waste it is when others' opinions and social role stereotypes prevent anyone from
following their dreams.
KAREN L. U. KAHAN was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Yes, she knows that's where
the Packers live.  Turn-ons: Skaldic poetry, tablet-weaving, Viking-Age Norse studies
and arguing with her husband.  Turn-offs: Pompous asses, Britney Spears, willful
ignorance and stupid questions.  And she really IS her mother's savage daughter.  Just
ask her mom.
